Ludhiana, August 16, 2022: In order to ensure every eligible can avail the benefit of social security schemes of Punjab government, the district administration will organize special camps regarding pension related cases on every Wednesday for next two months in each block of Ludhiana. 

Providing further information, Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik said that from August 17, the camps would be held in Rauni village (Khanna block), Gurhe village (Jagraon), Jassar village (Dehlon), Ghaloti village, (Doraha), Garhi Tarkhana village (Machhiwara), Barundi village (Pakhowal), Bharthala (Samrala), Alamgir (Ludhiana-1), Mangli Tanda (Ludhiana-II), Boparai Kalan village (Sudhar), Sherpur Kalan village (Sidhwan Bet), Ward No-85, Ward No-53, Ward No-50 and Ward No-46 under Ludhiana city areas. 

The DC said that the process of providing the benefit of various social security schemes to the applicants would be ensured at their doorsteps. She exhorted the people to avail maximum benefit of these camps as only people's active participation can make this initiative a mega success.  She said that it was an opportunity for the people to get the benefit of schemes under one roof without needing to visit different offices. She added that these camps would prove to be a boon for the underprivileged sections by offering benefits of various schemes at their doorsteps.

District Social Security Officer (DSSO) Ludhiana Inderpreet Kaur asked the people to bring their Aadhar numbers, bank account numbers, two passport-size pics, for widow pension, the widows must bring death certificate of their husbands, two pics of two children (below the age of 21), their Aadhaar numbers, account number of joint accounts and IFSC code of branch. Besides for specially-abled pension, the eligible must bring their UDID Card, bank passbook and other documents in the camps.
