Special drive to provide credit cards to farmers starts

Ludhiana: The union government has decided to provide credit cards to all eligible beneficiaries of Prime Minister Kisan Sanman Yojana by starting a special drive from February 8, 2020, onwards for 15 days.
Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal informed that under this special drive, all eligible beneficiaries would have to fill up the forms being provided by the banks and submit it there for getting their credit cards made and avail loan at low rate of interest for agricultural purposes. Besides, the farmers whose credit cards have already been made, they can increase their limits, whereas the farmers, whose credit cards have been lying non-functional, they can also contact their banks to make them operational.
The farmers, who have already taken credit cards, and are involved in dairy farming etc, even they can apply under this drive. NABARD district head Mr Praveen Bhatia informed that for the beneficiaries of Prime Minister Kisan Sanman Yojana, the Union government has issued a one page application form, which is available at websites, agricoop.gov.in and pmkisan.gov.in. This facility is also being available at Suvidha Sewa Kendras.
