Special GST registration campaign from Jan 10 to Feb 10

Ludhiana, January 24, 2025: Under the guidance of Financial Commissioner Taxation, Punjab Krishna Kumar and Taxation Commissioner Varun Ruzam, the special GST registration campaign is being organised from January 10 to February 10.
Under the supervision of Dr. Deepak Bhatia, Assistant Commissioner State Tax, Ludhiana-1 and in continuation of the measures being taken by the State GST Department, two awareness Camp in District Ludhiana is organized at Ward No. 3,4,5,6 and 10 today with the help of Shopkeepers, Trade Associations, CA Organisation, Bar Council and other social organizations for Ward No. 3,4,5,6, and 10 in Ludhiana-1 District. The Camp is attended by Harinder Singh, STO and Vikramjit Singh Bajwa, STO and their State Tax Inspectors along with their team to sensitise the taxable suppliers of services about the importance of registration under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Act.
The camp was attended by FICCO Association Punjab President Kamalpreet Singh, Advertisement Secretary Satnam Singh Makkar, Harpal Singh Bhambar, Head Cycle Division FICCO, Raghvir Singh Sohal, Head Plywood Division FICCO, Gurmukh Singh Ruppal, Head Sewing Machine Division and Sohan Singh Gogga, Chancellor Jeewan Sekha President.
It aimed to encourage unregistered suppliers of Services to come under the GST umbrella and contribute to the growth of tax revenue. Attendees were sensitized regarding registration and the survey campaign already in force w.e.f 10th of January, 2024 by the State GST department.
Another similar camp will be organised by the O/o ACST-1 in next few days.
