Chandigarh September 16, 2024: Department of Library & Information Science Panjab University, Chandigarh, successfully organized a special lecture on “Digital Library Initiatives with special reference to National Digital Library of India (NDLI)” and “Search strategies and techniques for effective Information Retrieval” today by Dr. Navkiran Kaur, Assistant Professor at Panjabi University, Patiala.
Dr. Navkiran Kaur shared her thoughts about the Digitalization of libraries around the world, World Digital Library, Open Library, Traditional Knowledge Digital Library, NDLI etc. followed by student's discussion on the topic.
The session, marked by a commendable turnout, successfully heightened awareness and engaged students in understanding the usage of Digital Library resources.
Chairperson of the department, Prof. Rupak Chakravarthy, all the faculty members, research scholars, and students of the Bachelor of Library and Information Science and Master of Library and Information Science participated in the event.
