Chandigarh, February 12, 2024: The Department of Library and Information Science, Panjab University, Chandigarh organized special lectures on “Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning” and “Data Prediction using Machine Learning techniques”.Damodar Parabhoi, Research Scholar of department anchored the event and theme of the lecture.
Dr.Shiv Kumar chairperson of the department welcomed the resource person and participants.
Dr. Anuj Sharma Assistant Professor (from the department of Computer Science & Applications, Panjab University, Chandigarh) was the resource person. All the students and research scholars attended the special lecture relevant to the current scenario.
Dr. Anuj Sharma highlighted the significance of Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning. He also pointed out that the application of Artificial intelligence in library services is the need of the hour. In addition, he discussed that Pybibx and the Turing test can be used to implement AI in libraries. Furthermore, He also took the opportunity to introduce students to Python, emphasizing its significance as a versatile and powerful programming language being widely used in AI and ML applications. He also explore the language's capabilities in data analysis, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
Today’s lecture was attended by about 70 participants.
