Special Lecture on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar- The Maker of the Indian Constitution organised at Lyallpur Khalsa College

A special lecture was organized at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar on the occasion of the 134th birth anniversary of Dr. BR Ambedkar. Dr. GC Kaul, Retired Professor, DAV College, Jalandhar, participated in the event as the main speaker.

Jalandhar, April 19, 2025: A special lecture was organized at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar on the occasion of the 134th birth anniversary of Dr. BR Ambedkar. Dr. GC Kaul, Retired Professor, DAV College, Jalandhar, participated in the event as the main speaker. 

Principal Dr. Suman Chopra, Prof. Navdeep Kaur, Vice Principal and Dr. Surinder Pal Mand, Dean, Student Welfare welcomed the main speaker Dr. G.C. Kaul with a bouquet of flowers. 

Principal Dr. Suman Chopra presented her views on the personality of Dr. Ambedkar and his contribution to India on this occasion. She said that Dr. Ambedkar was one of the great personalities of the world whose works changed the destiny of the country and society. She inspired the students to take guidance from his thinking and work for the development of the country. 

Dr. G.C. Kaul presented his views on the life, struggle, education and contribution of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar to the country. He opined that Dr. Ambedkar not only worked for the upliftment of the downtrodden people of the society, but also made legal provisions in the constitution for the farmers, women and employed people of the country. He gave a message to the students to take inspiration from the life and works of Dr. Ambedkar. 30 NSS volunteers specially participated in the event under the leadership of Prof. Satpal Chief Program Officer, NSS. 

At the end, Dr. Surinder Pal Mand, Dean Student Welfare, thanked Dr. G.C. Kaul, the present teachers, non-teaching staff and students for making the event a success. Prof. Kuldeep Sodhi handled the stage well during the program. On this occasion, besides the heads of various departments, Professor Harjinder Singh Sekhon, Prof. Sukhdev Singh Nagra, Prof. Karanbir Singh, Prof. Kanwaljit Kaur, Prof. Sandeep Singh, Prof. Sandeep Kaur Cheema, Prof. Preeti, Prof. Sandeep and Prof. Bhawna  were also present.
