Chandigarh, August 30, 2024: The Department of Community Education and Disability Studies organized special lecture on the topic “NEP2020: Community and Education” on Friday.
Chairperson of the Department, Dr.Md.Saifur Rahman, laid emphasis on the 10+2+3 system as proposed by the Kothari commission and how it was adopted all over the India. In addition, he also discussed about the relationship between the community and education and how they influence each other.
Resource Person, Prof, S.K.Yadav started the webinar with the emergence of education from the roots of Vedic era. According to him, India was the global leader of education in ancient times. Education concept has always been revolved around the society and child’s development in it. Later on, he discussed about the policies on education and how the different education commissions came up during the passage of time.
At the end of the session, Faculty member Nitin Raj presented the vote of thanks.
