Chandigarh, November 18, 2024: The Equal Opportunity Cell for Persons with Disabilities (EOC-PwDs) in collaboration with Department of Alumni Relations and Department of Youth Welfare, at Panjab University (PU) hosted a special screening of Rabb di Awaaz, India's pioneering multi-inclusive film addressing themes of disability, mental health, and inclusivity. 

Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Ojaswwee Sharma, the film uses a blend of storytelling and social realism to shed light on issues often faced by persons with disabilities, making it a powerful medium for both awareness and advocacy.

The screening saw an enthusiastic turnout of students, faculty members, and special guests, including advocates for disability rights and community leaders from Chandigarh. The film has been widely praised for its relatable characters and balanced storytelling, resonating deeply with audiences across North India, especially in educational institutions where discussions on inclusivity are gaining momentum.

Through this initiative, PU hopes to continue building awareness and support systems that make the University a welcoming environment for all, including individuals with disabilities. The success of Rabb di Awaaz screening underscores the growing commitment within the university to not only meet accessibility standards but also foster a more inclusive and empathetic community.
