SPECIAL SUVIDHA CAMP OF SIX VILLAGES HELD AT BIJA VILLAGE IN LUDHIANA DISTRICT

KHANNA MLA CLAIMS SUCH CAMP ENSURES NEEDY PEOPLE GETTING THE BENEFITS OF SCHEMES OF THE GOVERNMENT

KHANNA, MAY 24, 2018: In a unique initiative to provide benefits of various government schemes to people at their doorsteps, a special Suvidha camp of six villages in Bija village under 'Government in Your Village Program' was organized on Thursday.
The camp covered six villages including Bija, Madiala, Kot Sekhon, Kot Panaich, Asgaripur, and Raipur and started at 9 am.
Khanna MLA Gurkirat Singh Kotli said that this camp was organized to facilitate the people in getting the benefits of government schemes at their doorsteps under a single roof.

He stated that labour department officials receive 100 new applications for registration as labourers, 35 children applied for various scholarship programs, 107 applications for new blue cards, 74 applications for various pension schemes and 10 for new LPG connections in the camp.

MLA said that the basic idea behind holding the camp was to ensure that the needy people can get the benefits of schemes of the government.

SDM Khanna Sandeep Singh told that the camp aims to achieve the objectives of holistic development of all sections of the society and to ensure social justice and equality by improving the standard of living and quality of life in the rural area.
On the occasion, Nayab Tehsildar Ranjeet Singh, BDPO Dhanwant Singh Randhawa, political secretary Harinder Singh and several others were present.
