Special vaccination camps for youth being organised across state: chairman Sukhwinder Singh Bindra
Urges youth to get vaccinated in large numbers so that we can defeat spread of pandemic in Punjab
Ludhiana: Punjab Youth Development Board chairman Sukhwinder Singh Bindra today said that special Covid19 vaccination camps for the youth are being organised in different parts of the state. He said that under the able leadership of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, special emphasis is being given for vaccination of the Punjabi youth.
Chairman Sukhwinder Singh Bindra today inaugurated one such special camp at Government College for Girls, here. He was also accompanied by college principal Sukhwinder Kaur, besides others.
While speaking to media persons on the occasion, he said that the Youth Clubs associated with Punjab Youth Development Board would play a pivotal role in fight against Covid19. He said that all the youth clubs associated with the board are being motivated to encourage residents of their respective villages to get vaccinated in large numbers.
PYDB chairman Sukhwinder Singh Bindra today informed that in a bid to provide best healthcare to the residents, the PYDB has successfully organised more than 42 vaccination camps till now.
He informed that he is personally motivating all PYDB members and youth clubs across the state for organising such camps in their respective areas so that we can weed out Covid19 from our society.
Working shoulder to shoulder with Capt Amarinder Singh led Punjab government in the war against Covid-19 pandemic by intensifying vaccination drive, PYDB under the chairmanship of Sukhwinder Singh Bindra has been motivating all the youth. He said that even Capt Amarinder Singh has announced that Rs 10 lakh special grant would be provided to the villages that achieve 100% vaccination.
Sukhwinder Singh Bindra said that all youth of the state is being motivated to get themselves vaccinated. He said that the PYDB is making concerted efforts to administer the dose of the Covid19 vaccine to all eligible people and PYDB would leave no stone unturned to ensure speedy coverage of those eligible at the earliest.
The Chairman said that only accelerated vaccination drive can help to build herd immunity resulting in breaking the transmission chain of the infectious disease.
