Jalandhar, September 19, 2022: An established international para-player and national gold medallist of Boccia Championship- 2022; MBA-2022 student Nikhil Gupta of Mittal School of Business at Lovely Professional University (LPU) has now also qualified UGC NET Examination.

Believing in the saying that "people rise to great heights by a winding staircase of small steps"; Nikhil always excelled in existing circumstances. He shares that physical constraints don't determine where one can go. It never matters how slowly one goes, as long as one does not stop. He adds that “no doubt life was not easy for me, I preferred to make it possible.” Nikhil mentioned that he gained an indomitable spirit at the LPU campus through his university mentors.

Presently, his dream is to further win top Medals for the country and the university in international sporting events including Paralympics, Asian, and World championships.

Nikhil has also represented India in the Poznan 2022 World Boccia Intercontinental Challenger at Poznan University of Technology, Poland. He is also a gold medallist of the 6th Boccia National Championship- 2022. In addition, he has many illustrious participation certificates in other national and international championships.

As for his educational achievements, Nikhil completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in first class. Adding to it, he has now qualified for the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professor, in the first attempt itself. The NET test is conducted by the University Grants Commission of India (UGC India) and is considered to be one of the most competitive examinations in India.

Congratulating the promising student Nikhil, LPU Pro Chancellor Rashmi Mittal shared: “LPU extends its vast ‘Scholarship Scheme’ to deserving students like Nikhil. It is to cultivate the talent of students that may be hidden due to financial or other constraints. Such assistance can be availed in all the programmes ranging from Diploma to PhD.” Illustrative, LPU also offers financial aid to underprivileged students including orphans, and people with benchmark disabilities.
