Ludhiana, December 27, 2012: Matches shall be held in the four floodlit courts at the Guru Nanak Stadium in the 63rd Senior National Basketball Championship for Men and Women, starting tomorrow.
The event will conclude on January 4 next.
Giving more details, M.F. Farooqui, IPS, DIG Police, Ludhiana range and Head of the organising committee told that of the four floodlit courts at the Guru Nanak Stadium two are indoor. A total 25 teams in the men section and 21 teams in the women section have already confirmed their entry.
Further, he told that there would be a 125 matches which would be conducted by around 100 referees and officials.
Electronics score board, 24 sec timer and other modern gadgets will be used during the matches. Trained statisticians would be updating the score which shall be updated on the website www.punjabbasketball.org on a real time basis.
