Punjab emerged as the overall champion at the 68th National School Games, with Secretary Education Kamal Kishore Yadav highlighting the vital role of sports in shaping a healthy society at the closing ceremony of the 68th National School Games. He also emphasized that syncing of sports and education can bring significant results for the state and country.

Ludhiana, December 17, 2024: Punjab emerged as the overall champion at the 68th National School Games, with Secretary Education Kamal Kishore Yadav highlighting the vital role of sports in shaping a healthy society at the closing ceremony of the 68th National School Games. He also emphasized that syncing of sports and education can bring significant results for the state and country. 

Yadav noted that sports make the students fit, active, fresh and social. The sports teach the lesson of coordination, duty and discipline and a healthy mind develops into a healthy body. He added that the Punjab government is already making sincere efforts to boost sports infrastructure which will surely register extraordinary results in future. 

Yadav highlighted that sports/physical activities among the youths will empower them to excel in their lives and asked them to become ambassadors in the society. He also asked the students to work hard in their lives and added that the state government is giving much attention to channelize their unbounded energy in a positive direction by engaging them in the sports. 

Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal highlighted the impressive participation of over 3,000 athletes from various states, Union Territories, and organizations in the games.
