Startup Day Amritsar by IMPunjab enables youngpreneurs to step up their entrepreneurial journey
Startup community networking session to discuss ideas and shape future
Amritsar, August 5, 2022: Innovation Mission Punjab, a unique private-public partnership that aims to build, empower and act as a catalyst for local startup communities in Punjab held Startup Day in Amritsar. The event is part of IMPunjab’s mission to conduct multiple startup day events by the end of this year. The initiative aimed to become a platform for the new startups and entrepreneurs in Punjab to meet, communicate with the youngpreneurs and other stakeholders of their industry and create various opportunities for their startups to grow further.
The event was the fourth edition of the Startup Day series after the success of the earlier three Startup day events held in Chandigarh, Ludhiana, and Jalandhar. The aim was to create regional access for the startup community and other support in ideation, and development and accelerate the growth of their start-ups.
The key takeaway for the participants was that they could get feedback and validation on their idea, match with a potential incubator and get guidance from the entrepreneurial ecosystem by connecting with global mentors and advisors onboard. This also marks the start to their entrepreneurial journey with the Mission.

The jury panel consisted of industry experts and a mix of regional entrepreneurs and startup enablers from the region including of Rishabh Arora (Aptitude Baba), Mandeep Kaur Tangra (Simbaquartz), Vikrant Kapoor (Angels Paradise), Rouble Tuli (Tuli’s the Academy), Prof Chetan Chite (IIM Amritsar). The event also saw a solid representation from the ecosystem partners Amritsar Founders & CII - Amritsar with Karan Verma (Aar Vee Group), Sanjay Maheshwari (Sky Foundations) and Jitender Jain (KocharTech).
The event started around 2:30 PM with registrations followed by a session on key things an entrepreneur should keep in mind while pitching their ideas. The participants then got to present and discuss their ideas with industry experts, mentors and incubators. The overall event concluded with a networking session for the young entrepreneurs and startup owners to establish industry connections. Apart from networking, the participants were involved in team-building exercises and other fun activities.
