State government ready to provide every facility to industry and trade: Bhupinder Basant
Holds meeting with stock traders in Ludhiana Stock Exchange
Ludhiana: Bhupinder Basant, Senior Vice Chairman (Excise and Taxation), Punjab State Traders Board today met traders and brokers at Ludhiana Stock Exchange in Feroze Gandhi Market.
Ludhiana Stock Exchange Chairman T.S. Thapar, L.S.C. Security Ltd. Chairman Pramod Goyal, Vice Chairman Sanjeev Gupta, Director Ashok Gupta, Chief Exporter Rajesh Dhanda welcomed him.
On this occasion, Basant interacted with the people related to stock trading and asked about the effects of Covid-19 on the business and learnt about their problems. He said that globally, Covid-19 has adversely affected every business. But under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Capt Amarinder Singh, the Punjab government is making every effort to bring the business on the right track about which various governmental departments have also been asked to keep preparations. He said as a part of these efforts, he is going to meet the excise and taxation officials also, in which the issues related to trade and GST will be discussed.
He further said that there are clear instructions of the Punjab Government that all industries should be promoted through Traders Board so that everyone concerned should get benefit of the government schemes upto a maximum level.
On this occasion, T.S. Thapar urged Bhupinder Basant to provide relief to the traders by forwarding their demands to the government because no segment is left from adverse effects in this pandemic time.
On this occasion, Advocate Sanjeev Sood Banka, Advocate Varinder Sharma Bobby said that the appointment of Bhupinder Basant has brought cheer in the industry, because he himself is a big businessman and understands the demands and difficulties of the business well. Therefore, people are looking at him positively for watching the interests of the traders' community.
