State Government to recognise and honor exceptional schools: RS Bali
In a significant move to enhance the educational landscape, RS Bali, a distinguished Cabinet Minister Rank and Tourism Chairman, declared the state government's commitment to substantial reforms aimed at ensuring the delivery of high-quality education. Speaking as the chief guest at the annual function of Government Senior Secondary School in Pathiyar near Dharamsala, RS Bali underscored the government's dedication to recognizing and rewarding exemplary schools and educators.
Dharamsala, November 30, 2023: In a significant move to enhance the educational landscape, RS Bali, a distinguished Cabinet Minister Rank and Tourism Chairman, declared the state government's commitment to substantial reforms aimed at ensuring the delivery of high-quality education. Speaking as the chief guest at the annual function of Government Senior Secondary School in Pathiyar near Dharamsala, RS Bali underscored the government's dedication to recognizing and rewarding exemplary schools and educators.
Bali unveiled an ambitious plan to reopen 2050 schools, spanning from primary to senior secondary levels, by the year 2026-2027, introducing the Chief Minister School of Excellence. As part of these transformative reforms, the government will establish English medium schools in the public sector across the state. Additionally, a School Adoption Program will be initiated, involving officers at the block, sub-division, and district levels to elevate the overall quality of education.
During the event, RS Bali disclosed plans to develop Nagrota Bagwan as an educational hub, ensuring that children in the area have access to higher education facilities close to home. The government is also set to open Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding Schools in every assembly constituency, specifically designed to cater to students in rural areas.
Expressing his unwavering commitment to supporting educational institutions, RS Bali announced the allocation of funds for a state-of-the-art science lab, vocational lab, and repair work at the Government Senior Secondary School in Pathiyar. Furthermore, he approved financial rewards of Rs 5 lakh for repair work and Rs 1 lakh for students actively participating in cultural programs.
Principal Nandita Sharma provided a comprehensive overview of the school's annual achievements, showcasing the institution's dedication to academic excellence and holistic development. In recognition of outstanding accomplishments, RS Bali distributed prizes to students for their exemplary performance in examinations and various school activities.
The event witnessed the presence of SDM Munish Sharma, principals from various schools, school teachers, family members, and enthusiastic children, collectively emphasizing the collaborative effort towards fostering an environment of quality education and holistic growth.
