State-Level Function In Memory Of Legendary Punjabi Folk Singer Kuldeep Manak To Be Held From Tomorrow Onwards

Raikot (Ludhiana), November 28, 2016: The Punjab government would be holding a state level function in the memory of legendary Punjabi folk singer Kuldeep Manak at village Jalaldiwal near Raikot on November 29 & 30, 2016. This function would be held on Kuldeep Manak's fifth death anniversary. All arrangements regarding this function have been completed.
While providing information, Deputy Commissioner Mr Ravi Bhagat informed that this state level function would be organised at "Manak Da Tilla" at village Jalaldiwal (Near Raikot) in Ludhiana district on November 29 and 30, 2016. Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal would be the chief guest on November 30, 2016 and various personalities from all walks of life would be attending this grand function.
A meeting to take stock of arrangements regarding this state level function was held under the chairmanship of SDM Raikot Miss Kanu Thind, and was attended by District Public Relations Officer Mr Prabhdeep Singh Nathowal, Assistant Public Relations Officer Mr Puneet Pal Singh Gill, Block Development & Panchayat Officer Mrs Navdeep Kaur, Tehsildar Mr Joginder Singh, Naib Tehsildar Mr Harpal Singh Panjeta, Jalaldiwal village Sarpanch Mr Balaur Singh, besides Mr Kuldeep Manak's family members as well as office bearers of Kuldeep Manak Memorial Society (Regd).
SDM Miss Kanu Thind informed that a large number of Prominent singers would be attending this function and Bibi Sarabjit Kaur, wife of Kuldeep Manak would be honoured on this occasion.

The Punjab government's decision to hold state level function in memory of legendary Punjabi folk singer Kuldeep Manak has been welcomed by a large number of Punjabi singers as well as literary personalities of the state. Punjabi Sahit Akademi former president and Shiromani Sahitkar Prof Gurbhajan Singh Gill, Prominent poet Trailochan Lochi, singers Jazzy Bains, Surinder Shinda, Jaswant Sandila, K Deep, Gurdass Kaira and others have welcomed this decision of Punjab government to hold a state level function in the memory of Kuldeep Manak.
