State level function to mark Karnail Singh’s martyrdom on August 15 in Issru

Khanna (Ludhiana), August 8, 2024: Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney along with a battery of officials visited the Issru Grain Market today to review the preparations for the state-level function in the memory of Goa freedom martyr Karnail Singh which will be organised on August 15.

The DC stated during the function, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will pay homage to the martyr. The DC mentioned that the district administration has been making proper arrangements and the officials concerned would be posted on duty for a smooth flow of the function. She issued necessary directions to the officials at the site to make elaborate arrangements for the people coming to pay tributes to the martyr. She added that the traffic would be diverted through alternative routes to avoid chaos and adequate security will be deployed to keep watch over the law and order situation.

Sawhney also stated that the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will also dedicate a library constructed by the government in the village on August 15.
