State Women Commission Vice President urges teachers to give education as well as moral values to the girl students.
Vice President of Haryana State Commission for Women, Sonia Agarwal said that teachers should perform their responsibilities well and give education as well as moral values to the girl students. She said that the state government is serious about women's safety and many steps have been taken for the safety of women.

Sonia Agarwal was interacting with faculty members, non-teaching staff and girl students at Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan. She called upon to teach the students to maintain the dignity of relationships and prepare them for future life. Vice President Sonia Agarwal said that the university administration should provide a good environment in the hostels and improve the basic facilities for the girl students. She asked to inform the girl students about their legal rights. She also talked about making the students aware of cyber crimes and the measures to protect them.
Presiding over the program, Vice Chancellor Prof Sudesh said that the state government is sensitive towards women's education and empowerment. She said that there is still scope to do better regarding women's issues in the society. VC Prof Sudesh called upon the gathering to understand their rights as well as their responsibilities. VC Prof Sudesh honoured Sonia Agarwal by presenting her a sapling.
At the beginning, Chief Warden Dr Suman Dalal informed about the development journey of the university. The programme was conducted by Dr Manju Panwar. Thereafter, Vice President Sonia Agarwal visited the university hostel. She interacted with the hostlers and inspected the facilities available. She also planted saplings in the Jijabai hostel campus.
Officiating Registrar Prof Shweta Singh, Proctor Prof Ipsita Bansal, Deputy Registrar Dr Neelam Malik, One Stop Centre Incharge Anshu, SHO Mahila Police Station Sudesh along with various HOD and university officials were present on the occasion. /02/08/2024
