Strong law and order necessary for industry, investment and trade: Deepender Hooda

Kalanaur, May 17, 2024: Congress LS Candidate Deepender Hooda on Friday said that strong law and order is necessary for industry, investment and trade. He said wrong economic policies of the BJP government have made doing business has become difficult, while on the other hand, the worsening law and order situation in Haryana has pushed the market in an undeclared recession in the market. 

Deepender, who was speaking at a program organized by Udyog Parivar in Rohtak city, appealed to vote in favour of Congress for change in the state.  He said that till 2014, Haryana, which was known as development state, is being known as crime state during the 10 years of BJP government. 

“During the previous Hooda government of Congress, criminals trembled when they entered Haryana, are now firing bullets with great fear. The BJP government has become helpless in front of the criminals. How will the morale of criminals not increase in a state where the Chief Minister makes a statement that his government cannot provide security to everyone,” he questioned.

“The people of the state have now decided for change to get rid of this government and are just waiting for the voting to be held on 25th May. When the Congress government is formed, crime and criminals will be eliminated from Haryana. The state will once again run at a fast pace on the track of development,” he promised. 

Rohtak MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra and Kalanaur MLA Shakuntala Khatak were present.

Deepender said Rohtak Lok Sabha constituency or Rohtak city came to be known as Developed Rohtak on the development map during the time of Congress Party government. “Today this entire area has been removed from the development map. Roads, sewers, sanitation, and even clean drinking water are not available. No new big project came up not only in the area but also in the state,” he said.
Deepender said that all four major sections of the society – farmers, workers, traders, employees were unhappy with the wrong policies of this government and were counting each day. He said that today the entire state is troubled by BJP's misgovernance, corruption, inflation, unemployment and increasing crime. 
“Haryana, which was counted among the safest states of the country during the Hooda government of Congress, is today at number 17 in development and at number 1 in inflation, unemployment, drug addiction, crime and corruption. Due to record unemployment in Haryana, youth are migrating to other states or abroad. A large number of youth are getting trapped in the quagmire of drugs and crime,” he said.

Describing the dozens of major development works done during his tenure, he said we are going among the public and asking for votes on the basis of our work. He said the BJP government and the present BJP MPs should tell what they have done in the area during their tenure. 

“What did you do for development? If you have got any big project, new investment or industry established then tell the people. However, due to weak government in the state, big projects like International Airport and Rail Coach Factory were shifted from Haryana to other states and 10 approved health institutions of Badhsa AIIMS-2 complex were cancelled,” he stated.

“It is unfortunate that after the 10-year-old BJP government, Haryana has reached number 1 in the country in kidnapping, robbery and ransom rate and number 2 in the country in murder rate as per Government of India statistics,” he pointed out.
