STTP on “Virtual Instrumentation in Academics, Research and Industry” organized in Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, Ferozepur

More than 100 faculty members and Research scholars from different technical institutes of India participate in programme Ferozepur, July 14, 2019: The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, Ferozepur organized one week AICTE sponsored multi-disciplinary Short Term training Program (STTP) on “Virtual Instrumentation in Academics, Research and Industry (VIARI-2019)’ from 8th to 13th July 2019. More than 100 faculty members and Research scholars from different technical institutes of India participated in the programme. The main objective of the program was to acquaint the participants with the development of virtual instruments using customized software like LabVIEW and hardware to measure and control the changes in a system. The Officiating Director, Prof. (Dr) A. K. Tyagi and Head of Electrical Department, Prof. (Dr.) Lini Mathew from NITTTR inaugurated the one week training program. In his inaugural address, Dr A. K. Tyagi addressed the participants and accentuated the significance of the Virtual Instrumentation in various disciplines. The Head of the department, Dr Vishal Sharma and Program Coordinator, Prof. (Dr.) Rajni welcomed the participants. The guest of honour and domain expert, Prof. (Dr.) Lini Mathew delivered the keynote address. Prof. (Dr.) Rajni acquainted the participants about the topic and program schedule of the STTP. This STTP was a rich mix of theoretical sessions by well-known speakers as well as practical sessions demonstrated by industry experts. Eminent speakers from renowned institutes delivered lectures on the different areas of Virtual Instrumentation and industry experts gave hands-on training on LabVIEW software. The certificates were distributed to the participants of the course on successful completion of the course. The Campus Director, Prof. Dr T.S. Sidhu and Associate Director, Dr Lalit Sharma congratulated the Course Coordinator, Dr Rajni and applauded whole organizing team for organizing this event.
