Students from undergraduate Biology program of California State University, USA visited Biotechnology Department, PU

Chandigarh, January 12, 2023: Students from undergraduate Biology program of California State University, USA visited the Biotechnology Department, Panjab University, Chandigarh today. They were accompanied by Professor Nitika Parmar, Director, MS Biotechnology program in the University. There was a vibrant interaction between the faculty members, students of the Department of Biotechnology, PU and the foreign visitors. Prof. Neena Caplash, Prof. Jagdeep Kaur gave an overview of the research in the department. Chairperson Prof. Desh Deepak Singh apprised the foreign scholars of the departmental activities and stressed upon the need for more student exchange and visits. Prof. Parmar stressed upon the need to have holistic developments in modern science and that how the US universities provide competitive grants to promote student exchanges and visits as part of their course curriculum. The students of the two institutes had a healthy interaction and exchanged their thoughts on developing more linkages. Panjab University is focussing on international networks as part of its endeavour to give exposure to the students and scholars for developing a global outlook.
