Students of  Dev Samaj School present annual function 'Guldasta'

Chandigarh, November 25, 2024: I.S. Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School Sector 21C Chandigarh's junior wing students participated in their annual function 'Guldasta' which was held for the 2024 session. 

A galaxy of dignitaries graced the function. The Chief Guests on the occasion were ex IAS officer, author and TEDX & motivational speaker Vivek Atray and Digvijay Kapil (PPS),AIG cum Joint Director Vigilance Bureau, (UT) Chandigarh. Principal Sabeeha Dhillon Mangat felicitated the Chief Guests. Dr. Agnese Dhillon - Secretary The Dev Samaj , Maanvinder Singh Mangat - Chief Administrative Officer – The Dev Samaj were present. The Dev Samaj  is the parent body of Dev Samaj institutions. Sahil Abhi, Member Managing Committee and Legal Advisor , The Dev Samaj and Dr. Richa Sharma,Principal-Dev Samaj College of Education presided over as Guests of Honour. Dr. (Mrs.) Jaspal Kaur, Manager, I.S. Dev Samaj School was also present on the occasion. 
 
The cultural extravaganza began by invoking the blessings of Bhagwan Dev Atma, founder of the Dev Samaj through school prayer ‘Bhala Chahna’.The extravaganza was beautifully showcased through  nursery rhymes and dazzling dances presented by the students. The students showcased dances like bhangra & gidda. Rajsthani and Kashmiri folk dances were also presented by the students. The students sensitized the audience through their two impactful plays on ‘Social Media' and ‘Akbar Birbal’. The costumes, dialogues, stage decorations and efforts of the school were highly applauded by the spectators. The show not only enchanted all but it also brought to the fore the talent of the students. 

The Chief Guests appreciated the hard work of teachers and students in putting up a scintillating show  of talent . Vivek Atray stressed upon the importance of outdoor activity in producing capable individuals who will become part of the society. Digvijay Kapil emphasized on the importance of discipline and moral values in the growth of one’s life. Maanvinder Singh Mangat congratulated the school for conducting the function successfully. Principal  Sabeeha Dhillon Mangat, presented a vote of thanks.  

The annual function culminated with the school prayer.
