Students of DOL and UILS PU excel in HCS (JB) Exam

The students of Department of Laws (DOL) and University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University have excelled in the Haryana Civil Services (Judicial Branch) exam.

Students of DOL and UILS PU excel in HCS (JB) Exam

Chandigarh, October 20, 2024: The students of Department of Laws (DOL) and University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University have excelled in the Haryana Civil Services (Judicial Branch) exam.
 
Abhidha Gupta from the LLM 2024-25 Batch of UILS has achieved an impressive feat of securing Rank 1.
 
Successful candidates Madhav Mittal, Paramvir Singh Kadian, Alpna Singh, Jashanpreet Singh Benipal, Uditi Mittal, Ekamjot Kaur and Kritika Nagpal have studied in both the UILS and Department of Laws at PU.
 
As many as eight students from the Department of Laws including Kunal Mittal have cleared the HCS test.
 
As many as 19 students from UILS have cleared the exam. They include Tanuj Handuja, Jasmine Bawa, Aayushi Arora, Mansukh Garg, Mehak, Aachman Shekhar, Apurva Arora, Jyotsana Rawat, Eklavya Gaur, Pawanpreet Dhanoa and Shivani demonstrated their hard work and dedication by clearing the prestigious test.
 
Lauding the achievements of students of Departments of Laws and UILS, PU Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Renu Vig has congratulated the successful students, their parents and teachers.
 
The Director of UILS, Prof. (Dr.) Shruti Bedi and Chairperson Department of Laws Professor Vandana Arora have also congratulated the students and encouraged them to continue to strive for excellence. They have attributed the success of both the departments to the faculty members’ tireless efforts and guidance in creating a supportive ecosystem.

This remarkable feat showcases UILS's commitment to nurturing talented individuals, making a significant mark in the judicial profession, Prof Shruti Bedi added.
 
Professor Vandana Arora said, “Every year our student have been excelling in competitive exams by dint of sheer hard work and the guidance provided by the faculty members.  The faculty members constantly groom them right from appearing in written exams and prepare them for interviews. Moots ,Debates, quiz competition and memorial lectures by judges and Acadmia are regularly conducted which motivates, inspires and provide exposure to the students and helps them develop their overall personality skills and confidence required to succeed, she further added.
