Students of Innocent Hearts paid tribute to Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri through various activities

The students of five schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Cantt.- Jandiala Road, Royal World and Kapurthala Road) celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti with full gusto and enthusiasm.

Jalandhar, October 1, 2022: The students of five schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Cantt.- Jandiala Road, Royal World and Kapurthala Road) celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti with full gusto and enthusiasm.  

Various activities were organized to inculcate human values like truth, non-violence, simplicity, and tolerance among the students.  In a special assembly, the children took an oath to keep their surroundings clean.  Gandhiji promised to move forward with the dream of a clean India.  The students were dressed up as Gandhiji and Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji. They asked everyone to follow their teachings.  On this occasion, the students of class III showed their talent by acting on the non-cooperation movement started by Gandhiji, Dandi March, Quit India Movement, Civil Disobedience Movement etc.  A speech competition was organized for the students of class IV on the topic 'Simplicity ki Murat, Lal Bahadur Shastri', in which the students made Shastri Ji's strong personality, disciplined life, strict morality and fearlessness and simplicity in thoughts, etc.  In the classes, the teachers made the children aware of many stories and incidents related to the life of Gandhiji and inspired them to learn from his life.  

On this occasion, Sharmila Nakra (Deputy Director of Cultural Affairs, Innocent Hearts Group) said that the purpose of conducting such activities is to inculcate a feeling of patriotism among the children.  She asked the students to pay respect to their brave freedom fighters and try to imbibe their ideals into their lives.
