Ludhiana: On 21 February, 2020 to celebrate the Punjabi Matar Bhasha Divas was celebrated at Punjabi Bhawan. The main motto of the celebration was to hold various competitions to enhance the usage of Punjabi Language.
The students of Ramgarhia Girls College also participated in these competitions and bagged many prizes. Students of Music Department of the College Harjeet Kaur, student of M.A. 2nd (Vocal) won first prize in Folk Song category. Manisha student of M A 2nd (Vocal) got First Prize in Story Writing and Jasvir Kaur of M A First Year (Vocal) got Third Prize in Poetry Recitation Category.
Overwhelmed by the achievement of the students Principal Dr. Inderjit Kaur said that such endeavours must be appreciated by everyone who loves his mother tongue. The students are the future of the nation and these competitions help them to stay connected to their roots. She also congratulated the concerned teachers who motivated the students to perform in their competitions well and win many prizes.
