Subhadeep Das stuns everyone with his performance on the ‘Griha Pravesh’ episode of Indian Idol 14

This weekend, Sony Entertainment Television’s prestigious singing reality show, ‘Indian Idol Season 14’ will premiere the grand ‘Griha Pravesh’ episodes where the Top 15 contestants will impress one and all with their singing talent! Making the evening a grand affair, joining the esteemed judges Kumar Sanu, Shreya Ghoshal, and Vishal Dadlani will be eminent names from the entertainment and music industry like – Salim & Sulaiman, Hansraj Raghuwanshi, Richa Sharma, Abhijeet Sawant followed by the judge and contestants of the upcoming dance reality show; Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Arshad Warsi, Sreerama Chandra and Shoaib Ibrahim respectively.

Contestant Subhadeep Das Chowdhury from Kolkata smashed the audition round with his vocals inviting heaps of praises from the judges’ panel. With his second innings on the show, Subhadeep is ready to own the stage with his powerful vocals. Before his performance during the ‘Griha Pravesh’ episode, his caretaker Sheela Didi shares how she’s become popular overnight after appearing on the show and speaks highly of him. Diving into the performance, Subhadeep effortlessly delivers a spectacular performance on the song 'Om Shanti Om,' which leaves the judges and guest Arshad Warsi thoroughly impressed! Complimenting his performance, Arshad Warsi says, “It was unreal, I am your fan! You performed with so much energy and power, it was beyond music!

Shreya Ghoshal expresses, “Speechless! I thought this was a Grand Premier performance, but it felt like a Grand Finale performance. I have heard this song previously too, but this level of approach was new to me. Your co-ordination with the musician was fabulous and I really thank you for presenting this song in a different avatar. It can rightly be titled as ‘Subhadeep Vaali Performance!”

She also highlighted how during her tour in the USA, there were many who praised and spoke highly of Subhadeep. Not only this, but Arshad who was stunned by his vocal range requested Subhadeep to sing the song ‘Dil Toh Bachcha Hai’ from the film Ishqiya in his style.
