Successful Annual Meeting of Business Development Unit (BDU) held at Ferozepur Division
The Annual Meeting of the Business Development Unit (BDU) of the Ferozepur Railway Division was successfully held in the Divisional Office Auditorium under the chairmanship of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Sanjay Sahu.

Ferozepur, April 22, 2025: The Annual Meeting of the Business Development Unit (BDU) of the Ferozepur Railway Division was successfully held in the Divisional Office Auditorium under the chairmanship of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Sanjay Sahu.
The meeting witnessed active participation from prominent freight customers representing key industries such as Setia Industries, AVG Logistics, Gaurav Enterprises, TCL, ITC Industries, Gateway, and CONCOR, among others.
During the session, the Ferozepur Division presented its freight loading statistics. In the financial year 2024-25, the division achieved a total loading of 10.43 million metric tonnes, marking a 6.22% increase compared to the previous year (2023-24).
To further enhance freight operations, the division announced the development of two new goods sheds aimed at providing better facilities for freight customers. Additionally, significant efforts are being made to upgrade existing freight terminals, with projects worth approximately ₹390 crore currently underway. Plans have also been drawn up for the development of new goods terminals at Padav Mahna and Badhai Ballamgarh stations.
Addressing the gathering, DRM Sahu emphasized the need for a joint and coordinated approach to strengthen commercial ties. He stated that a robust partnership between the railways and industries can not only boost freight loading but also help meet customer expectations more efficiently.
The meeting was also attended by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (FS) Manu Garg, Senior Divisional Operations Manager Gurusharan Pathak, along with other senior railway officials and supervisors.
