Successful Workshop on Blood Pressure Measurement: Collaboration of 17 schools
Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, in collaboration with City Needs Ludhiana hosted a workshop on blood pressure measurement with 17 schools from Ludhiana which aimed to educate participants on the importance of accurate blood pressure assessment and dispel common misconceptions surrounding hypertension.
Ludhiana, April 12, 2024: Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, in collaboration with City Needs Ludhiana hosted a workshop on blood pressure measurement with 17 schools from Ludhiana which aimed to educate participants on the importance of accurate blood pressure assessment and dispel common misconceptions surrounding hypertension.
The workshop saw active participation from a diverse array of institutions including DAV Public School, BCM Sr. Sec. School, Sacred Heart BRS Convent, Arya College for Girls, and many more.
Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society lauded the efforts of the team and the school authorities for participating along with their students in such an important workshop
Dr. Bishav Mohan and Dr. Tarun Satija from CMC Hospital, provided invaluable insights into prevalent incorrect practices related to blood pressure measurement and addressed various myths and facts about hypertension.
A highlight of the event was the practical training session led by Dr. Ankit, a resident at Hero DMC Heart Institute, which equipped participants with essential skills for accurate blood pressure measurement techniques.
Dr. G S Wander, Principal of DMC&H Hospital, commended the dedication of the students and teachers who volunteered for this initiative, urging them to become vital champions of proactive healthcare within their communities.
In a gesture of support, DMCH Hospital provided blood pressure measuring apparatuses to all participating institutions, encouraging them to conduct screening camps and contribute to the promotion of community health.
