Jalandhar, March 17, 2015: Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, a true promoter of Cultural Heritage, is revealing its cards as days of its Design Week pass on. Where Apeejay has set up a Punjabi Village and is making mark with its fusion concerts, on Monday, it arranged a musical eve to enthrall the citizens of Jalandhar. Worldwide famed Sufi Artists Amaan Ali Khan and Ayaan Ali Khan who are sons of Sarod Maestro Amzad Ali Khan, took away the hearts of Jalandharites with their fingers playing on the classical instrument 'Sarod'. Their splendid performance filled the air with incense of music.

Sushma Paul Berlia, President, Apeejay Education Society said it is a matter of immense pleasure that on the same stage, the first rate artist Amzad Ali Khan won the hearts of Jalandharites, a few years ago and today on its 40th Anniversary, his sons have awestruck Jalandharites and Foreign Delegates.

Delegates from Netherlands and China were seen hugely applauding the music produced by these eminent composers.

Khan Brothers began their performance with a composition in 'Ek Taal' in Raga Malkanos and then composition in Raga Rageshwari in Thap Taal was presented. They composed 'Dhrut Le in Teen Taal' in Raga Rageshwari etc. and concluded the event with Folk composition of Bengal.

On this Historic Eve, Principal, Dr. Sucharita said such performances by eminent dignitaries like Khan Brothers always prove to be beneficial for the students who are learning the art of Music and Singing. It is a matter of pride to have such perfectionists like them to inspire the students.
