SUKHBIR DARES CAPTAIN TO START POLL ACCOUNTABILITY IN CONGRESS FROM PATIALA SEAT

Seeto Gunno/Balluana /Abohar - (Ferozepur ) April 25, 2019: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal today asked Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh why he did not start the accountability process from home by promising to quit as CM in the event of an impending and humiliating Congress defeat from Patiala constituency. "Captain's threats to his party colleagues make him look like a cowardly General who sits in the safety of his home while telling his soldiers to brace bullets from the enemy and threatens to shoot them if they return empty handed. Brave and honourable Generals lead from the front and never pass the buck to their juniors," said Badal while addressing public rallies on the third day of his campaign for the Lok Sabha poll. The SAD chief said the Congress in Punjab is heading for its worst defeat in recent history with Captain's threats to shoot the members of his own political family revealing the atmosphere of total panic and nervousness in the party as a result of massive Akali resurgence. “He (Capt.Amarinder) has given the Congressmen only two options: die either at Akalis' hands or Captain's." Badal said that this panic was the result of Amarinder's realisation of the people’s intense anger over being cheated by him on all the promises he had made on oath to them such as total waiver of all kinds of debts for every farmer, jobs in every household, unemployment allowance of Rs 2500 per month and Shagun of Rs 51000. Badal said similar panic was visible in the breast-beating indulged in by Congress Bathinda candidate Raja Warring who had bewailed that "the state administration is still obeying only the Akalis. This statement is a disgrace and an open admission that the present rulers have no grip over the administration of the state. The fact could be that the officers were refusing to obey illegal orders of their corrupt and vengeful political bosses. '" said Badal. The former Deputy CM said the present rulers did not have the will to govern and the state and its people were suffering the worst neglect by any government since independence. Badal said all welfare schemes started by the SAD- BJP government had been stopped by the present regime headed by Capt Amarinder Singh. The Akali chief said Amarinder will be remembered as the most inefficient CM in the history of any state in the country with no will to govern. “All he does to catch public attention is performing political stunts to divert people's attention from his betrayal after swearing on the sacred charan of Guru Gobind Singh ji”, Badal added.
