Summer Course on “Mastering Social Media Marketing Skills”

Chandigarh, June 6, 2023: The Centre for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship at Panjab University, Chandigarh is proud to announce the commencement of its Summer Course on "Mastering Social Media Marketing Skills" for the students of Panjab University and its affiliated colleges. The inaugural session took place today at University Business School, featuring esteemed personalities and industry experts. The Summer Course aims to bridge the skill gaps and foster new start-ups while providing valuable industry exposure to the participants. The Centre envisions Panjab University as a primary centre responsible for planting entrepreneurial seeds and nurturing the necessary skills among students to thrive in the corporate world.

Prof. Suveera Gill, Honorary Director of the Centre for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Panjab University, Chandigarh, formally welcomed the distinguished guests and participants and set an encouraging tone for the upcoming days of learning.

The chief guest for the day, Er. Surinder Singh Virdi, Managing Director of Anaesthetic Gases Pvt. Ltd., graced the occasion with his valuable presence. With a civil engineering background and dual master's degrees from Panjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, and the Technical University of Delft, Holland, Er. Virdi has a vast experience in various academic and administrative roles. He addressed the audience, sharing his insights and entrepreneurial wisdom.

Prof. Keshav Malhotra, Dean Business Management and Commerce, Panjab University, Chandigarh, was the keynote speaker. With decades of teaching and research experience, Prof. Malhotra has made significant contributions to the field of banking and finance. He shared his expertise, and valuable insights into the social media world hence motivating the participants with his inspiring words. 

Prof. Tejinder Pal Singh, Coordinator of the Centre for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Panjab University, Chandigarh, expressed a heartfelt vote of thanks to all the attendees, marking the successful commencement of the Summer Course. 

The Summer Course on Mastering Social Media Marketing Skills promises to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and tools to excel in the digital marketing landscape. Through a combination of theoretical insights and practical exercises, the course aims to empower individuals to leverage social media platforms effectively for marketing purposes. A diverse Cohort of participants from Panjab University and its affiliated colleges are participating in this course.
