Ludhiana, June 8, 2023: GHG Khalsa College ,Gurusar Sadhar has initiated a one month Summer Shooting Camp from 7th June 2023 to 7th July . This camp aims to provide a unique opportunity for young individuals to learn and excel in the sport of shooting. The training will be provided to every individual with a minimum age of ten years.
While providing information about the camp, college principal Dr. Harpreet singh said that this camp will promote marksmanship skills and instill discipline among the participants. The college administration, in collaboration with an experienced shooting coach, has designed a comprehensive training program to cater to participants of all skill levels, he added.
Dr Baljinder Singh, head, department of Physical Education told that the camp will be undertaken at shooting range of the college under the guidance of skilled instructors. The participants will receive specialized training in various shooting disciplines, such as rifle shooting, pistol shooting, and trap shooting. The camp curriculum encompasses both theoretical and practical sessions, focusing on fundamental shooting techniques, body posture, breathing control, concentration, and mental resilience. Moreover, participants will receive personalized guidance and feedback to ensure continuous improvement throughout the camp.
While expressing his delight at the overwhelming response to the camp, Principal Dr.Harpreet Singh stated that "We are thrilled to provide a platform for aspiring shooters to enhance their skills and develop a keen interest in shooting. Our aim is to nurture talent and produce accomplished marksmen who can compete at national and international levels." He further added that Sadhar College has also been declared the highest contributor in Panjab University Chandigarh, Khelo India University Games Contingent among the colleges situated within the territory of Punjab.
