Chandigarh, July 13, 2024: The Department of Biophysics at Panjab University successfully completed the Summer Training Program for 2024.
The event marked the culmination of an enriching and intensive six-week program designed to provide students with hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge in the field of biophysics. This year’s Summer Training Program brought together aspiring students from various academic backgrounds for an immersive exploration of biophysical research methods. The program included hands on training in diverse fields such as learned Laboratory animal handling, Neurobehavioral analysis, Chromatographic techniques, Bio spectroscopy, Tissue processing and histopathological evaluation, Electrophysiology (ECG and EMG), in silico drug designing, bioinformatics, molecular biology techniques, bacterial transformations and transcription assays.
Dr. Tanzeer Kaur, chairperson, Department of Biophysics, expressed her pride in the achievements of the participants.
The program concluded with a valedictory celebrations, where Prof. M.P. Bansal presented certificates to the participants and motivated the students to further pursue career in the field of science and engineering.
