Sunit Mukherjee calls upon NSS volunteers to become a guard of digital literacy and digital security

Sampla, March 22, 2025: In this challenging era of increasing cyber fraud; digital literacy and vigilance is the need of the hour. By learning various tools of cyber security, students can not only remain digitally safe themselves, but can also bring their family members, friends, classmates under the ambit of digital security. Professor of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of MDU and Director Public Relations, Sunit Mukherjee expressed these sentiments while addressing the NSS volunteers in the National Service Scheme (NSS) camp going on at Government College, Sampla.
Sunit Mukherjee called upon every NSS volunteer to become a guard of digital literacy and digital security. Giving the message to the volunteers to avoid digital addiction, he asked them to do digital detox from time to time. Sunit Mukherjee called upon them to take out some time from their daily routine and communicate with the elders and connect with social concerns.
NSS Program Officer Dr. Deepak Lathwal, the coordinator of this seven-day NSS camp, inspired the students to raise awareness against social evils and contribute to social work. As the special guest, MDU PRO Pankaj Nain wished the NSS volunteers for becoming good citizens.
