Super Dancers pay tribute to the RK Legacy

Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor or Ranbir Kapoor, the Kapoor family has been entertaining Indian audiences since decades. And when Ranbir Kapoor recently visited the set of Sony Entertainment Television’s popular dance reality show Super Dancer, the talented kids did not miss the opportunity to pay an ideal tribute to the RK Legacy.

Ranbir was moved by the gesture and he even shared anecdotes. “After Asis Das and Ditya Bhande performed amazingly on the evergreen song Mera Joota Hai Japani featuring Raj Kapoor, Ranbir expressed his contentment for recreating the gone-by era. He also mentioned that the song was shot on the same stage they are performing,” informs a source.

The contestants performed on songs like O Haseena Zulfon Wali, Mera Joota Hai Japani, Badan Pe Sitare, to name a few featuring actors from the Kapoor family. The very talented Dipali Borkar and Siddhanth Damedar performed on O Haseena Zulfon Wali, while Yogesh and Laxman grooved to the tunes of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. “It is indeed one of the best tribute paid to the RK Legacy on national television. The kids welcomed Ranbir to their show by performing on a medley of popular songs like Awara Hoon (instrumental), Jahan Mein Jaati Hoon, Badan Pe Sitare, Badtameez Dil. He was left stunned and surprised by all the performances,” adds the source.
