Ferozepur, December 21, 2012:  The Central Government Tourism Department surveyed the historic city Ferozepur – the land of martyrs.
Giving this information, Parminder Singh Pinki, Congress MLA said, the Central Government team consisting of two members surveyed the Samadhi of martyrs at Hussainiwala and Indo-Pak joint check post, as per the memorandum given to the UPA government and also noted down the suggestions of the people to develop this area to have recognition at national and international level.  
The team also visited the building where Shaheed Bhagat Singh and his associates used to have secret meetings.
Pinki said, the people of the area has brought to the notice of team members that Hussainiwala Border has Samadhi of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru,Sukhdev and BK Dutt besides memorial of Punjab Mata which have a special recognition at national and international level and  wants that the students and people from different parts of the country come to visit is place to pay homage to the martyrs.
Pinki further said, the tourism department of centre government has assigned the job of survey to a private company to give its report alongwith the view of the people of the area and on the basis of which the centre government would release the funds for the development of the area.
He also informed that the people of the area have suggested to the visiting team to open the Hussainiwala Border, making a beautiful tourist spot, making a picnic spot and stay arrangements and the efforts to make Hussainiwala a historic tourist spot would continue.
On this occasion, Gulshan Monga, advocate, Chamaur Singh Dhindsa, H. S. Bittu Sanga, Gogi Pyareana, Balbir Bath, Daljit Singh Dulchi Ke, Sanjay Gupta, Ajay Joshi, Lavjit Singh and Sukjinder Singh Attari and others were present.
