She further intensifies her poll campaign
Ludhiana, December 22, 2022: The prestigious Sutlej Club will be known for sports, if elected, said Dr Sulbha Jindal, contesting for the post of sports secretary.
In a statement here today, she added that so far, the club is known for holding parties, cultural and entertainment events but not that much for Sports activities.
She said time has arrived when there is a need to promote sports among the club members and their family members specially the children.
“The children are future of our Nation, therefore, there is a dire need to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship among them so that they may rise as a better citizen of the country,” she opined.
Dr Sulbha further stated that the club has earned a name over the period, and therefore it has a strength of around 3,000 members hailing from elite class of the society. “Still, there are a lot of people who wish to become member of the club,” she said.
She said there may be many club members and their family members including children who might have an immense talent for the sports in them but there is a need to identify and polish that talent. “My first priority will be to identify and polish that talent with my years-long experience in the field of sports,” she revealed.
Dr Sulbha said she will not only upgrade the existing sports infrastructure in the club but will try her best to hold maximum sports events and encourage everyone to participate in the sports activities. The story will not end by holding one or two cricket tournaments only, she said, adding that she will encourage all the sports such as swimming, gymnastics, lawn tennis, squash, billiards, and table tennis. “Every sport is equal to her,” she remarked.
She categorically told that she would not treat sports activities mere a formality. “Rather, I’ll give equal importance to sports as being given to other events such as cultural an entertainment in the club,” she said.
Dr Sulbha is being considered as the right and appropriate candidate for the post of sports secretary as she is a national-level swimmer, and she has the great vision being an entrepreneur & sportswoman.
