Chandigarh, October 1, 2024: Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan of Panjab University organised a tree plantation drive in a shared commitment to environmental sustainability.
The students planted native saplings such as Neem, Amla, and Guava, learning proper planting techniques and the importance of trees in combating climate change.
Each student adopted a sapling, pledging through the initiative "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" honoring the significance of trees as nurturing figures in our lives. The initiative not only beautifies the campus but also cultivates a generation of environmentally conscious individuals, highlighting the university's dedication to promoting a greener, cleaner future.
