Swachh Bharat Abhiyan organised an event “Har Ghar Jagrukta”with the aim of promoting the segregation of dry and wet waste at household level. In line with this mission, a dedicated team of volunteers, embarked on a comprehensive door-to-door campaign across residential areas of Panjab University.

In line with this mission, a dedicated team of volunteers, embarked on a comprehensive door-to-door campaign across residential areas of Panjab University.
The campaign focused on educating residents about the importance of segregating dry and wet waste at the source to ensure effective waste management and recycling. Through informative sessions and interactive discussions, the volunteers emphasized the benefits of segregating waste, including the facilitation of efficient recycling processes, reduction of environmental pollution, and the conservation of valuable resources. The campaign also underscored the crucial role that each household plays in the larger scheme of environmental conservation and waste reduction.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the initiative, the coordinator of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Dr. Anuj Kumar, highlighted the significance of community participation in promoting sustainable waste management practices. Shakti, Chesta, Muskan, Rishab, Jyoti and Sarita were the student coordinators.
