Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Panjab University organised Cleanliness Drive at UIHTM
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Panjab University today organised a Cleanliness Drive at University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (UIHTM) under the "Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign, 2024". As part of the activity, all UIHTM faculty, staff and students conducted the cleanliness drive around the UIHTM building.

Chandigarh, October 24, 2024: Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Panjab University today organised a Cleanliness Drive at University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (UIHTM) under the "Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign, 2024". As part of the activity, all UIHTM faculty, staff and students conducted the cleanliness drive around the UIHTM building.
As part of the activity, a small introductory session was also held in the seminar room of UIHTM in which UIHTM Director Dr. Jaswinder Kumar welcomed Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Coordinator, Dr. Anuj Kumar, all faculty, staff and students of UIHTM. Dr. Neeraj Aggarwal, Asstt. Professor, UIHTM was the Event Coordinator. Prof. Prashant Kumar Gautam highlighted the importance of campaign theme “Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskaar Swachhata” and narrated many practical examples on it. Dr. Anish Slath, Asstt. Professor, UIHTM delivered the vote of thanks to the introductory session.
Panjab University's Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan and Girls Hostel No. 2 also organised a cleanliness drive at the hostel. Hostel students and staff participated in cleaning the hostel’s mess area, lawn, and corridors. Hostel Warden Dr. Harjit Kaur encouraged the students to adopt cleanliness as a core value and contribute actively to maintaining a cleaner hostel and community. Rishab, Narender, Nancy and Joginder were the student coordinators of the event.
In both the drives, the PU Swachhata Abhiyan Coordinator, Dr. Anuj Kumar highlighted on various campaign activities of Swachhata Abhiyan in the University.
