Swarnim Vijay Mashaal arrives at Ludhiana Military Station
Homage paid to martyrs who made supreme sacrifice of their lives in achieving victory
Ludhiana: As part of year-long celebrations commemorating 50 years of Nations glorious victory in 1971 War, year 2021 is designated as Swarnim Vijay Varsh. To honour the supreme sacrifice and celebrate the victory, four Swarnim Vijay Mashaal were lit on Vijay Divas at National War Memorial Delhi. These Swarnim Vijay Mashaal are being carried across the length and breadth of the country, signifying the valour and sacrifice of our soldiers which led to the historic victory in 1971 War.
The Swarnim Vijay Mashaal which was flagged off from Headquarters of Vajra Corps- The Defenders of Punjab in Jalandhar on 01 Feb 2021 arrived at Ludhiana Military Station on 04 February 2021. The Mashaal was received with due reverence and military honours by Station Commander, Dholewal Military Station in presence of 1971 War Veterans. Gallantry awardees of 1971 War and Veterans were felicitated on the occasion. Homage was paid to the martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice of their lives in achieving the victory.
