Ludhiana, April 24, 2025: In a major relief to the F-Block Market Shopkeepers Association (BRS Nagar), long-pending issues were resolved within 48 hours following the intervention of Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora. Association members expressed great enthusiasm and gratitude towards Arora for promptly addressing their grievances, which had persisted through multiple previous state governments.

Association president Naveen Prabhakar stated that he, along with chairman Karnail Singh Jassi, general secretary Karamjit Singh, and other office-bearers, had met Arora yesterday to discuss the issues. In response, Arora visited the market this evening and publicly announced that all concerns had been addressed. The announcement was made in the presence of Municipal Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal, ACP (Traffic), and other officials. Municipal councillors Amrit Varsha Rampal (Ward No. 55) and Veera Bedi (Ward No. 57) were also present.

During his visit, Arora declared that the long-pending demand for free parking had been accepted. He instructed traffic police officials on-site to ensure that no private buses are parked near the market, as their presence was negatively impacting business. Arora directed them to identify an alternative parking site for private bus operators that would not inconvenience residents.

Arora, who is also the AAP candidate for the Ludhiana (West) assembly constituency, assured the shopkeepers of further support in resolving minor civic issues affecting the market.

Prabhakar praised Arora’s quick action, stating that the association is deeply thankful. "In my 50 years of life, I have never seen a leader like Arora who resolves issues on the spot," he said. He also noted that previous attempts to seek redress had yielded no results, and their businesses were suffering as a consequence.

The market houses around 150 shops. Municipal councillor Amrit Varsha Rampal highlighted that while the original auction agreement promised free parking. She and councillor Veera Bedi had also been advocating for the removal of private buses and reinstatement of free parking. Both expressed appreciation for Arora’s timely and effective resolution of the matter.
