Taavish, Hasan and Kamalpreet win title of “Chalchitra”
CT Group organizes an online acting competition Chalchitra
Jalandhar: After the mega success of online singing, dance and fashion show competition, Department of Cultural Affairs, CT Group organised another online event titled “Chalchitra- an online acting competition” that was themed on lockdown.
In this competition, 64 entries were received from Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi along with international participation from Canada as well. There were 3 age categories like 4-10 years, 10-16 years and 16+ years. The participants sent their acting videos, which were made for 1.5 minutes to 3 minutes, and were adjudged on the basis of likes on social media along with final judgment from 3 judges namely Sonika Chauhan, Pollywood Actress; Siddakpreet Makkar, Film Director and Karan Dev Jagota, Director Sanjh Kala Manch Kapurthala.
Participants presented their videos themed on lockdown that imparted various messages like importance of wearing masks and using sanitizer; life lessons from COVID-19; family issues during Lockdown etc.
After finalizing the results, the winners under category 4-10 years remained Taavish (first), Haradhya Kaur (second) along with Divansh and Fayona & Shubhkarman Singh stood third. Whereas, under age category 10-16 years, Hasan Abdal Singh stood first; Tripat Madan and Arjun Singh Vij stood second and Divyanshu and Gurdip Sharma bagged third position. Under the age category of 16+ years, Kamalpreet Kaur stood first, Varinder Kaur stood second and Ashmeen Kaur and Davinder Singh bagged third position. The event was organised under the supervision of Davinder Singh, Cultural Officer.
CT Group Managing Director Manbir Singh congratulated the winners and said, “It’s so good to see such talented participation across nation during lockdown as well. The objective of organizing this event was to give a platform to talented and budding actors to showcase their acting skills during lockdown too. CT Group will keep organizing similar online events in future too.”
