TAFE offers 500 oxygen concentrators to TN Govt for Rural Tamil Nadu
Donates Rs.1 Crore for procurement of oxygen cylinders
Chennai: Tamil Nadu’s tractor major TAFE - Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited has offered 500 Oxygen Concentrators to the Government of Tamil Nadu. TAFE’s senior officials called on the Hon’ble Chief Minister personally and handed over a cheque for Rs. 1 Crore for the procurement of oxygen cylinders yesterday.
TAFE hopes to strengthen the fight against COVID with the distribution of these oxygen concentrators to various Primary Healthcare Centers and small hospitals in rural areas and small towns of the state. The distribution and installation of these concentrators in small hospitals and primary healthcare centers of Ranipet, Trichy, Madurai, Kanyakumari and Virudhunagar has been commenced by the Tamil Nadu Government.
TAFE’s Chairman and Managing Director, Mallika Srinivasan said, “The second COVID wave has resulted in immense humanitarian suffering. We at TAFE offer our humble support to the efforts of the Tamil Nadu Government in combating COVID and providing quality care to the people of Tamil Nadu.”
Ever since the time the pandemic struck last year, TAFE - the makers of Massey Ferguson and Eicher brand of tractors, has been actively contributing towards the well-being of the farmers in rural areas and communities around its factories and offices, and proposes to continue these initiatives.
