Jalandhar, November 9, 2021: 'Sitare Zameen Pe'-Talent Show was organized by Dept. of ECA, of Doaba College. Principal, Dr. Pardeep Bhandari graced the occasion as chief guest .He was accorded a hearty welcome by Dr Ankur Sharma -Dean ECA, staff and students. The programme began with the traditional ceremony of lighting of the Holy lamp . Dr Pardeep Bhandari encouraged the students to participate in various activities of ECA, as this provides a befitting platform to channelize their energies in the right direction and helps them in future to excel in this competitive world .
Students of the Welfare Committee of Doaba College were assigned with the charge of various portfolios through badging ceremony . Gulshan was appointed Head Boy, Rashi Rawal as Head Girl. Sudhir and Kalapna as president and secretary, Sakshi as incharge of cultural wing, Aseem and Sushma as in-charge literary and Environmental activities, Raja and Simran incharge of discipline and Mansi, Raman and Gaurav were nominated as Executive members.
Thereafter students from various departments exhibited their talent- Rajni from Dept. of Commerce recited a poem on theme cleanliness, the Bhangra, team showcased their splendid performance followed by Rajasthani dance, contemporary dance, Garbha, Gidha, Qawali and Luddi. The vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Ankur Sharma – Dean-ECA department.
