Chandigarh, August 31, 2024: University Institute of Applied Management Sciences, Panjab University organised a talk on 'converting innovation into start-up'.
Dr. Naveen Kumar, Assistant Professor highlighted that innovations can further be taken based on market feasibility and commercialisation. He said that students should not be only job seekers but should also consider to be job providers. He further highlighted the opportunities at Panjab University for start-ups.
Prof. Monika Aggarwal, Director, UIAMS motivated the students to think of ideas leading to solving societal issues and also harness the opportunities available in market. She cited examples of various startup journey of UIAMS students and alumni She also said that in the current environment of startup ecosystem of India, one should take advantage of various government schemes. The event was coordinated by ECRC Cell of UIAMS.
