Ludhiana, March 8,2025: The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, in collaboration with the Women’s Cell and the Departments of Political Science and Economics, organized an awareness talk on women’s health on the eve of International Women’s Day at GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar.
The event aimed to educate female students about common health concerns such as PCOS, PCOD, breast cancer, and cervical cancer.
Dr. Prerna Goyal, Senior Consultant in Internal Medicine, and Dr. Shirin Garg, Gynaecologist from RG Hospital, Ludhiana, addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of regular health check-ups and preventive care.
College Principal, Prof. Inderjit Singh, thanked the guest speakers for their informative session. Faculty members, including Prof. Karamjit Kaur, Prof. Kamalpreet Kaur, Prof. Sia Bhatia, Prof. Vishavpreet Kaur, and Prof. Lavisha, attended the session. Prof. Manmeet Kaur extended a warm welcome to the guests.
The initiative was appreciated by students and faculty, reinforcing the importance of women’s health awareness.
