Tandon was a messiah for BJP workers: Chugh

Chandigarh, August 14, 2018: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national secretary Tarun Chugh has condoled the sudden demise of veteran party leader, former cabinet minister of Punjab and Chhatisgarh Governor Balramji Dass Tandon.

In a press release issued here today, Chugh said with the demise of Tandon, the party has not only lost a founder member of Bharatiya Janasangh, a nationalist statesman and a vocal leader of Punjab. Tandon, with his commitment and sincerity had created a special place for himself in the organization and earned the respect of each and everyone even across party lines.

“He was a leader who had always been a guiding light, an inspiration and was messiah for the workers of the party,” he said adding that this was a personal loss for him.

Chugh said, Tandon had dedicated his life to Punjab and the BJP and his commitment to the party and its workers was unparalleled. The BJP has lost one of its stalwarts, he said.
