Teacher's Day Celebration: Honoring Educators
DRV DAV Centenary Public School Phillaur celebrated Teachers' Day with great enthusiasm and respect for the dedicated educators who shape the future of the students. The celebration commenced in the morning with students extending warm wishes to their teachers by offering heartfelt greetings, applying traditional tilak, and presenting vibrant flowers.
Jalandhar, September 6, 2023: DRV DAV Centenary Public School Phillaur celebrated Teachers' Day with great enthusiasm and respect for the dedicated educators who shape the future of the students. The celebration commenced in the morning with students extending warm wishes to their teachers by offering heartfelt greetings, applying traditional tilak, and presenting vibrant flowers.
To invoke a sense of spiritual serenity, a Hawan ceremony was conducted, creating an atmosphere of tranquillity and reverence.
In the afternoon , celebration function was meticulously organized, and the dignitaries included Chief Guest Col. Amit Bhagi , Commanding Officer 152 Infantry Battalion and Guest of Honor Mrs. Jaskiran Harika worthy manger of the school. They were welcomed with a thoughtful gesture of presenting them with plants, symbolizing growth and nurturing.
The students' and the teachers' performances were a highlight of the day, with soulful songs, captivating dances, and energetic Bhangra performances that left the audience spellbound.
Amidst the cultural performances, teachers also had their moments of fun and relaxation. Games such as Human Bingo, Painter Babu and Surili Koyal added a playful touch to the celebration, and teachers joyfully participated.
The release of Book "Time Machine: Journey to the Past" as part of the school's best practices, where students and teachers embark on a voyage by writing their real-life experiences and imaginative stories, was a remarkable accomplishment.
A significant highlight of the event was the Des Raj Vedhera Memorial Best Teacher Awards. The school has been recognising the hardwork, dedication, enthusiasm and commitment of teachers with these awards since 2018.These prestigious awards are presented to nominated teachers of various distinguished schools of Jalandhar and across Jalandhar zone, recognizing their exceptional dedication and contributions to the field of education.

The Chief Guest Amit Bhagi took a nostalgic journey down memory lane, reminiscing about his old school days, and used this opportunity to inspire teachers to continue motivating their students.
The Guest of Honor Jaskiran Harika applauded the Principal, staff, and students for organizing a wonderful event, recognizing their efforts in making the celebration special.
The Principal, Dr Yogesh Gambhir felicitated all the award winners and shared inspiring words from the Teacher's Day message sent by President, Dr. Punam Suri, "I strongly believe that no machine can replace a teacher- who is smarter than boards, wiser than Upnishads, faster than AI, Kinder than parents, friendlier than peers and more resourceful than technology; can inculcate what no ‘Google’ can teach,shape what no ‘Chat-GPT’ can create , expound what no ‘ tuitionwala’ can train."
On the whole Teacher's Day Celebration was a memorable and heartwarming event.
